May 12, 2010: One Child Survives Tragic Plane Crash, Leaving 103 Other Passengers Dead

A 10-year old boy was the only survivor in a deadly plane crash in Tripoli, Libya on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 that left all other passengers dead.  The boy was in serious condition with bruises on his head and face, and multiple fractures in both legs, however; only after hours of being in the hospital, the Doctors deemed him clear of life threatening injuries.

Many of the victims were Dutch tourists, returning from Spring Break in South Africa when the plane crashed only minutes before landing.  The cause of the accident is yet to be determined but both of the plane's black boxes have been found and are currently under investigation.
